Gandhi Jayanti Celebration – Gandhian Life & Naturopathy

The Faculty of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences celebrated Gandhi Jayanti in conjunction with the Natura Wellness Association, focusing on the theme of “Gandhian Life and Naturopathy” on October 1st, 2022, at the T.V. Studio, B-Block.

The event kicked off with Dr. Prasanna V Savanur, Dean FIMS, Dr. Waheeda Khan, Sr. Advisor, Dr.Satish Chander Sharma, Director IQAC, and Dr. Rajiv Rastogi, Dean FNYS, lighting the ceremonial lamp. The event aimed to spread awareness of the relevance of Gandhi’s teachings on health and nutrition in today’s world, with a specific emphasis on promoting the benefits of naturopathy.

During the event, students staged a captivating mime performance, drawing the audience’s attention to the differences between healthy and unhealthy practices during the day. The program also featured a mesmerizing Yoga performance by Mr. Shekhar, a 1st-year student.

The event hosted several exciting competitions, including the “Gandhigiri” short video competition, the “Gandhian ideology and health” E-poster competition, and the “Cooking without fire: Raw Food” competition. These competitions were an excellent opportunity for participants to showcase their talents and creativity while spreading Gandhi’s message of self-mastery and good health.

Overall, this event was a remarkable way of disseminating the message of Mahatma Gandhi to a 21st-century audience, highlighting the importance of good health practices and the benefits of naturopathy.
