International Yoga Day Celebration, 21st June 2022

International Yoga Day is a momentous occasion celebrated worldwide on June 21st to kindle awareness of this ancient practice and to honor its physical and spiritual benefits. Yoga is a practice that stimulates the mind and body, leaving individuals feeling relaxed and refreshed, while also boosting their immune systems.

The day began with a radiant sun shining down on the C block ground, where participants eagerly gathered to partake in the yoga practice. Distinguished guests, including the Hon’ble VC, pro-VC, DSW, and Dean from various faculties, graced the occasion, infusing it with enthusiasm and excitement. The program commenced with the Dean of FNYS delivering a poignant introduction to Yoga Day, followed by a Yoga protocol led by the faculties of Naturopathy and Yogic Science in collaboration with the Faculty of Indian Medical System at SGT University.

This remarkable event welcomed students and faculty members from various departments, uniting them in the pursuit of relaxation and inner peace. Participants emerged from the session feeling revitalized and rejuvenated, with a renewed sense of purpose. The event drew an impressive number of participants, totaling around 250 individuals. The program culminated with the Shanti path, a Vote of thanks by the Dean of FIMS, and refreshments, leaving everyone feeling fulfilled and accomplished. The event aptly embodied the theme of “Yoga for Humanity,” reminding us of the need to foster harmony and well-being in our communities.
